It's probably fair to say that most video production companies start with a two-minute interview, not a 50-minute documentary. Not us.

The Lincoln Studios came into being because there was a story that needed to be captured for all time. Three years later, The Washington Post would capture our story:

The idea to create a documentary film about the iconic Nichols Hardware store in Purcellville [Virginia] began in 2008 as three local filmmakers sat at a coffee shop on North 21st Street, directly across the road from the store, which had been at the heart of its Loudoun County community for nearly a century More than three years later, "Nichols: The Last Hardware Store," was premiered before a standing-room-only audience . . . which included former secretary of state Madeleine Albright, a longtime patron of Nichols Hardware who is featured in the documentary film.

Since then, we've produced a series of video tributes for Loudoun Laurels, a stewardship foundation, to celebrate outstanding individuals whose service to Loudoun County, Virginia, deserves emulation and special recognition.
